The stock market and the housing market are both suffering more every day, so should the RV owners think about selling? The answer to that question will vary depending on a persons current financial status. Selling an RV now will most likely mean taking a significant loss, so if you can afford to keep making the payments, you might consider waiting for the economy to improve. You really need to consider how much you will pay in monthly payments over the next twelve to twenty four months and compare that to how much you can realistically sell it for.
Many RV owners have financed their RV for a long period of time, while that helped to keep the monthly payments down, it also reduced the amount of principal paid and means that it may not be worth as much as they still owe. Since the RV market has suffered like the housing market, many RV buyers are willing to pay significantly less than owners feel it is worth. The market has also been Flooded with RV’s and that has made it even more of a buyers market.
You can get a feel for what others are asking for the same type of RV by searching the internet. There are many RV Classified web sites that you can search and see what other RV’s that compare to yours are listed for. Remember that what they are listed for and what they will actually sell for can be very different. I would also suggest contacting a Dealer and see what they will offer for your RV. It will undoubtedly be less that you want, but it will give you a starting point to compare to what you find in your searches.
If you are thinking about buying an RV, this is probably the best time to think seriously about it. I continually hear that some homes are selling for half of what they sold for two years ago, and there are RV’s that have done the same thing. However the majority are still selling for considerably more than half, so there are good deals out there, and you have to take your time and search the internet to determine what is really a good deal. Financing may be one of the most difficult obstacles to purchasing an RV, so you might want to talk to a finance company before you get to serious about buying an RV.

Flying RocksRoads are covered with bits of gravel and rocks, and sometimes a car near yours can hit a rock in a way that causes it to fly and hit your windshield. It’s unfortunate, but it’s not impossible or even expensive to fix. Most small windshield chips cost less than $100 to repair, and you may get a discounted rate if you’re fixing multiple chips at one time.
Flying DebrisYou’ve likely been behind an 18-wheeler carrying wood chips, gravel, or other mischievous bits of debris. There’s no way the driver can completely secure his cargo, and there is the chance some could slip out and damage your windshield. The best thing to do is not curse the driver, but schedule an appointment with a windshield chip repair company to see if… Continue reading
Not all auto glass repair services are created equal. It’s a better idea to invest a little money (which is not much more than a do-it-yourself windshield repair kit at the store) and have your windshield rock chip repaired correctly and not ruin the resale value of your car.
Beware of shops that promise to do the job for far less than others or even for free, or that don’t have testimonials or guarantees to back up their work. Look for a certified on-site or mobile windshield repair shop, either from a friend’s recommendation or based on your research online. You can look up a shop through the Better Business Bureau to see their reputation and decide if it’s a safe bet.

Waiting for a serious vehicle problem is not a good course of action. A small problem can turn into an expensive problem. Fortunately, the transmission is like the car engine - give it some regular attention and you can avoid most problems.
